I made this quilt for my husband's parents who live in rural Oklahoma. It was a fun project to make and visiting them was the best! All the fabric came from my stash and the pattern is a simple half square triangle. Thanks for looking :)

Belt Bags

Recently we've been sewing belt bags. We wanted to make something that would work when biking and camping to carry our essentials. First up, W made a bag from this pattern. It is a nice size for adult or child and I like that it's flat. We added velcro to attach it to the front of his bike.
I made this bag. The pattern was a video and easy to follow although I had to tweak it a bit and I ended up with extra pieces. Have you made anything recently? Thanks for reading!

Toddler Messenger Bag
Check out this great bag I made for Theo! William modeled it for me and it works for either of them. It was a long time in the works; Theo has been talking about his cross body bag and when am I going to finish it?
I followed the tutorial from This Little Miggy. Thanks for visiting!

Big Fabric Letters
My big boy turned 3 yesterday! It's such a fun age and we have lots of conversations about things (what we're going to eat, where the concrete mixer is going)... I made him these fabric letters so he could see his name up in his room.

New Fabric
These are for the twin quilt I plan to make for my almost 3 year old. He loves the airplanes.
Have a good day.

OK this is my last post about this awesome quilt. I just wanted to show you it's label. The handwritten one and my quilt label below.
Have a great weekend :)

Brick Road Quilt
I finished Brick Road a few weeks ago and went to Newport Beach this weekend to photograph it. It was a gorgeous, sunny day.
After I got home from New Zealand last November, I was pretty homesick and my husband suggested I make something for my middle brother. In case he got engaged.
And he did! So now I just need to label this and send it off to him and his sweetheart. Yay!

Trash Truck Tee Shirt (Part 2)
I finished the trash truck tee for my two year old and here it is. I used temporary adhesive spray to attach the felt to the tee shirt, then I sewed around the edges. I washed the shirt to remove the adhesive and added some detail with embroidery thread.
I think he likes it!

Fabric love
This pic is from my table runner project which I'll share later. What cracks me up is the plastic cow in the corner. My life is full of things like that.

A Quilt for R & H
When I heard Roderick and Hilda* were getting married I have to admit that my first thought was ...
"great! I can sew them a quilt".
I spoke to Rod about possible colours for their future place.
So, the reason I was asking was that I am designing a lap quilt for you and H to have in your home. It's something that you can throw over your legs while you're sitting on the sofa. Left to my own devices it will probably have a lot of orange in it. With blue.
Thoughts?
He told me to make whatever I want!
I decided to make something bright and scrappy using some of my stash and some complementary fabric. Don't you love these?
