I've finished this quilt and I couldn't be happier with how it turned out. I love the random blue blocks and the scrappy binding.
I employed a number of new techniques with this quilt. Spray basting was one and I will never go back to pins. Also, I used a walking foot for quilting it and that worked well too. Here are a couple of pics of the quilt which I photographed in NZ before giving to the happy couple.

I love how you used the blue solid triangle in each row. It's just enough to keep the design a tad more visually interesting!!!
